We picked up some 3 x 4 wire panels at an auction recently. I had no idea what I would do with them, but am finding dozens of uses for them.

Mostly recently we made a puppy yard in front of the house. It is less distance to carry 9 puppies out to play and less risk of owls and hawks that tend to swoop them. I can leave my old boy out with them and he will watch, them and circle the fence around them. He is a good boy.

Puppies had their 6 week puppy shots yesterday and their microchips. I do not do the shots myself. I like them to have an early physical and my vet’s office is a great place to socialize puppies. All of the puppies did great.

TO MY PUPPY BUYERS: If you have not already done so already, now is the time to be searching out the puppy classes in your area and getting signed up. An early puppy class will put you and your puppy on the right footing for socializing and training. The first 16 weeks is the most important period for socializing. Make the most of that period with quality socializing and you will reap the benefits for years.

It won’t be long before puppies start leaving. It is a sad time for us, but also a happy time. We’ll enjoy hearing about their escapades (and there will be escapades!).
