About Cezár

I’ve always said if I ever imported a dog, it would have to be an extraordinarily good one!

Cezar-head-

There is such a romanticism to “imported” dogs. So many people seem to believe they are better just because they are imported.

Most European breeders do not send their best dogs to the US. Cezár’s circumstances were unusual, and his photos “spoke to me.” It was one of those rare gut feelings, and my intuition does not usually lead me wrong.

Getting Cezár here was quite an ordeal! Plans had to be made, and then changed, and then made again. It was such a relief to finally have him land at the airport in St. Louis.

I can thank Mary Casella and Agi Hejja for also seeing in Cezár what I saw, and thanks for their help in bringing him to the USA!

More About Cezár

Cezár attended Pet Partners Therapy Dogs classes and passed the therapy test with a perfect score.  He is presently visiting a rehab and assisted living facility. The residents call him “the pony” or “the polar bear.” They always tell me how loving and calm and quiet he is. I laugh inside thinking that they would change their minds if they could see him at home!

We will be starting therapy work at Ronald McDonald House in a month.

Cezár has acclimated to our home and enjoys being the house prince and guardian. He lets “the girls” push him around… unless he really wants something or has a strong opinion… then they get out of his way!

We couldn’t be happier with him and I think he is pretty happy with us too.
